Darzee the Tailor Bird
"Darzee", meaning "tailor", is the name of a little bird in Rudyard Kipling's beloved classic "The Jungle Book." Today Darzee's descendants can still be found in many parts of South Asia and Southeast Asia.
This sweet-looking little bird with a fairly shrill voice has an extraordinary skill; it creates well-camouflaged nests by using its needle-like beak to sew together leaves using plant fiber, fine grass, and even spider webs and then line them with soft material like feather.
Like the Darzee bird's nest, our scrubbers are made of all-natural material and each one is sewn rather than glued together.
At Darzee Scrubs, we aim to create something extraordinary out of the ordinary.
